GalleriesRecent PostUNICEF POY North AmericaHihi All, I wanted to put this post out as separate from the main posting as I’m afraid it’ll be buried and really I’m wanting this to call attention with a bit more resonance than a posting within a post. The original post has a lot of good info so, as not to confuse it with the main posting, if you’re looking for more info please visit this link: http://www.lightstalkers.org/unicef-photo-of-the-year-award I’m writing to call further attention to my section, North America, which I’ve received few submissions for; meanwhile I’ve received, mistakenly more from other regions than I have for North America, so, as is too often the case, I fear that North America with all of the important issues that it faces concerning children is going overlooked. I invite anyone who has taken photos which they think shows insight into the realities that children face in North America to please submit your work to me. (And for those who already have, thank you.) Looking forward to seeing what you have, all the best, I can be reached here: jakefoto (at) gmail.com As far as submitting work this seems to be the recipie that we’ve all agreed on so please follow these guidelines (I prefer zipped jpegs): Please send 5-10 zipped images along with a brief summary of the project and captions. * Individual image size be jpegs on 8 quality at 72 dpi at 1050px at their longest. * You can also submit a pdf file of the pictures for the initial round. * Those that we choose to nominate are then provided the entry forms that they fill out and submit with files/prints, as per instructions therein. The final out put for these images will have to be sent to Germany, it has been proposed that the file size must be: jpeg on 8 quality at 200 dpi at 1600px at their longest. |
